Where are nude surfers? Nudism on a surfers beach in Morocco

عَرَبيْ

naturist 0000 remote beach at Essaouira, Morocco

Beaches near Essaouira, Morocco, are famous for its excellent conditions for surfers of many kinds.

The beach shown on the map here apparently is not used a lot, naturist 0001 remote beach at Essaouira, Morocco

so you could try nude surfing… Or jogging,

naturist 0002 remote beach at Essaouira, Morocco

or just sunbathing,

whatever you like.

… like a handstand?

As the water is cold there because of the upwelling, you can’t swim too long. And the waves are really strong too.

At the low tide, rocks covered by bright green algae look surreal contrasting with yellow sand of the beach.

If I go there again, I should do some surfing, however!

Naturist beach and park in Moscow, Serebryany Bor

 Русский

naturist 0000 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

Serebryany Bor (Silver Pinery) is a unique place in Moscow where you can enjoy nature without having to leave the city, and even in your birthday suite. The only thing that will remind you of the hustle and bustle of the metropolis are the skyscrapers of Moscow-City and, unfortunately, some noise from a highway.

Otherwise, you’ll be surrounded by the forest and river. The Moscow River is very quiet there, with hardly any current noticeable, so it’s nice for swimming (and even nicer, since you can do it naked). If you swim from one edge of the nudist beach to the other, it’s approximately 2500 feet, so swimming forth and back would give a decent distance of 1.5 km. Just keep closer to the shore, as there may come speedy jet-skiers.

The park is dominated by willows, traditional Russian birches and, as you could guess from the name of the place, pines. It makes it easy to find a secluded place to your liking – with sun or some shade, grass or sand.

If you’re lucky, a nightingale may provide you a pleasant acoustic background. I was lucky to see such a singing nightingale, although usually they are hard to spot even when you hear them.

Speaking of music, if you do want to hear some, stay in the beginning of the beach (closer to the mini-bus station) – there is a cafe with a radio.

naturist 0002 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

You can buy snacks, beer and other beverages, as well as ice-cream in the cafe without having to dress, so Serebryany Bor is turning into fully functional nudist resort.

Next to the cafe, there a horizontal bar, but I didn’t take pictures there with too many people around. Another horizontal bar is in the woods in the eastern part of the park. I’ve already posted a gifs of me doing pull-ups on this blog, so I think I have to promise to learn something more interesting by the next time 😉

There are few short trails that are nice to stroll or jog on, and some people even ride bicycles in the buff.

naturist 0005 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

Of course it wouldn’t be a proper naturist beach without a volleyball field! There are two volleyball nets installed, one near the cafe and another in the center, but unfortunately they are usually taken by the local regulars and it’s hard to join them.

naturist 0006 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

Already after my last visit to Moscow, a friend of mine found an outdoor gym next to the nudist beach; I’ll have to check it out next time. But even without the gym and volleyball net, we didn’t just sit lazily 🙂 We also did some yoga.

naturist 0003 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

I found that Moscow-city skyline fit pretty well to the otherwise natural landscape there, and it even inspired me to keep some yoga poses longer, while the photographer looked for the best angle 😉

naturist 0004 Serebryany Bor, Moscow, Russia

I noticed that many muscovites do not appreciate Serebryany Bor too much, with a sentiment that there are much better resorts abroad. However, after having travelled to numerous naturist destinations around the world, I can assure that there are very few urban parks like this, where a beach and a forest are intermingled, and you can swim, play volleyball or sit in a cafe, and all naked! And it’s a nice place to visit even in winter, as there is a banya with an ice-hole! But let’s not talk about cold, the weather is very hot right now in Moscow, so enjoy the summer at Serebryany Bor 😎

PS Google maps is the choice throughout the website, by Yandex provides better service than Google in Russian-speaking domain, so better check out Yandex maps for directions.

Nudism in the center of Munich

English Garden is a very nice park in the center of Bavarian capital.

Though still impressive to have an official nudist meadow in a central city park, you can feel how less easy-going with nudity Bavarians are comparing to Berliners, where there is even no need to specially designate a territory for naturists, as nudity is tolerated almost anywhere in parks and at lakes.

This park itself is a popular spot in the city where all kind of people gather for sunbathing, jogging, reading etc.

Lawns are perfect for game sports and people play ball games on the nudist meadow as well,

and if it is too hot you can dip in the freezing water of the stream dividing nudist and clothed parts, but beware of the strong current or you’ll find yourself naked in another part of the city like the hero of Alan Hollinghurst’s novel “The Line of Beauty”.

Hiking in Sonoran Desert in Arizona

As you can guess it is sunny here most of the year, so welcome to Estrella Mountain Regional Park of Maricopa County Parks, Phoenix, Arizona, to get all over body tan, 8D well, in case you need it.

but even though it is a desert it is full of bushes where you can find some shade. Since it is not a naturist park and nudism is therefore not legalized there, you will also use those bushes for another purpose – to hide! You will be even watched from planes, welcome to the “country of freedom”. lol
Though we haven’t really seen anyone else, and other observers included only birds of prey.

But anyway it is a splendid place for hiking.

beach near Rio de Janeiro

Português

Abrico beach (Praia de Abricó) is one of surprisingly few official naturist beaches in South America. Located in a protected area of Rio de Janeiro, it is one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches of the city. The crowd is very diverse, especially on weekends, when local families come too. Proximity to Rio de Janeiro makes it quite packed on weekends, with some nude sport activities organized by Associação naturista da Praia de Abricó.

Is is really nice you can keep yourself active outside water, because often the waves are too strong 26552321306_7d7cdd567b_z_d

and the water is unexpectedly cold for long swimming. On weekdays, there are fewer people, but more freedom to roam around in the buff!

Among few other nudists you are likely to be accompanied just by these giant birds 8D

Well, they are just white egrets 🙂

But in any case, you are guaranteed with a magnificent view of the bright blue ocean and two tropical islands!

The plants vary from cacti of all forms and sizes, bromelias and agaves, growing on the rocks,

view 0003 praia Abrico, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

to palm trees, hibiscuses and many other tropical trees.

If you stay till dark, the air might be filled with sparkling bugs, a fabulous view.
The cheapest way to go to Abrico Beach from Copacabana (or in any location near sea on South Zone) is to take bus 175 (Barra da Tijuca or Recreio) or S-20 (Recreio) on Atlantica Avenue (except sundays), in Copacabana, (on sundays you can get the buses on Barata Ribeiro street) (from Ipanema you must take the bus on Vieira Souto Avenue or in Leblon, in Delfim Moreira Avenue) and get off in front of Barra Shopping (center), in Barra da Tijuca. Then take the bus 702 or 703 (Recreio) and take off in front of Condomonio MARAMAR. Go to the way up side the sea, through Prainha. When go down in Grumari, look to the ocean and go to the left. Abrico beach is behind big stones. Instead of getting off the bus in front of MARAMAR residences you can do it in front of RECREIO SHOPPING CENTER (bus 175 also goes there, but keep your eye on which color line it belongs to (yellow or red) when you go back, better ask the driver if it goes to Ipanema!), and then take a taxi to Abrico Beach for approximately 10 reais, but also keep in mind that the taxi is not so numerous in that area, especially for the return, but locals may give you a lift.

beach near Lisbon (Praia do Meco)

See full size image Português

Praia do Meco is an amazingly huge
and beautiful beach, perfect for naturism and camping, with pine forests around, high cliffs and springs with fresh water. Apparently you can also do paragliding there,  maybe also naked?
Although one of the best on the Lisbon coast, this beach is a little challenging to reach by public transportation. You have to take the bus to Sesimbra from Lisbon’s Praça de Espanha bus terminal, and get off at Santana. From there, around 8 buses daily run to Meco village. Be sure to ask for a timetable for your return trip.

Nude in front of millionaires’ yachts: Welcome to Capri!)

italiano

It seems this is the only spot on this chic island where people don’t really care what kind of clothes they wear… because they wear nothing here 😉 Just go to via Krupp from Marina Piccola and then to the sea passing through the twisted pines and restaurants, it is shown on the map exactly! There is no sand, and the entrance to the water is not convenient, but it is nice to lie on some of the rocks. Don’t be shy and take a picture in front of a yacht of some celebrity or multimillionaire, like Abramovich. You may be naked, but you are still on Capri!

flat rock beach in Athens (Limanakia)

ελληνικά

Nudist beach at Limanakia is a popular place to enjoy the heat of summer in Athens instead of suffering from it in the city. It has a lot of convenient open flat rocks, as well as hidden corners to get some more intimate atmosphere even when it is pretty crowded. view 0003 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

The crowd is quite diverse and international, a lot of gays, sometimes textile though. The water is warm from April to October, and feels nice even when it rains. naturist 0002 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

The underwater life is pretty interesting by the way. You’ll see lots of different fishes,

fish 0002 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

schools of young fish fish 0003 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

and some parrotfish of rainbow colors.

Another beautiful encounter, which we saw only once there, was this jelly fish. jellyfish 0000 Limanakia, Athens, Greecejellyfish 0001 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

Thus, Limanakia proved to be great for snorkeling and swimming.

naturist 0000 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

However, while getting out of the water beware of sea urchins, sea urchin 0000 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

although not all rocks are covered with sea urchins – some have only pretty moss animals and algae.

In any case, goggles are highly recommended both for enjoying underwater scenery and safety!

naturist 0001 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

This place is obviously great to take some good photos,

naturist 0009 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

just make sure to have good equipment;-)

Well, this pigeon thought it was all about him and tried to get in the shot all thetime!

naturist 0011 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

But the crab turned out to be more photogenic and cooperative.

Late october, with more rain, brings some blossom to the rocks of Limanakia.

flowers 0000 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

But not only flowers can be pink there, the rocks themselves may turn pink too!

view 0001 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

This is what happened one evening with unusually bright pink clouds at sunset, which reflected their color on the rocks and the sea.

view 0002 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

In the cove which is closer to the city, view 0000 Limanakia, Athens, Greece you can also do cliff-diving. Does it look high enough?

naturist 0003 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

Well, look from above!

naturist 0004 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

By coincidence, on the day when we finally dared to jump from those cliffs, there was a contest of 12 top cliff-divers at the neighboring lake Vouliagmeni. Well, we couldn’t compete with them in terms of height of our dives, but at least we dived in a more natural way – from the cliffs, not from a platform (I don’t know why they call it cliff-diving then), and without swimsuits 😉

So, ready?!

naturist 0005 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

Wait, there is a swimmer below.

naturist 0006 Limanakia, Athens, Greece

Steady!

Go!

And here is a video.

I think you’re convinced now to visit this place, if you’re in Athens. To get to Limanakia from the center of Athens use express bus E22 (from Panepistimiou (Πανεπιστιμίου) or Syntagma (Σύνταγμα)) or from Glyfada by buses 115 or 116 to B’ Limanakia (B’ Λιμανάκια). On my frequent visits to Athens, this was often the first place I wanted to go, granted that I also saw it from the airplane on approach to the airport; too bad I couldn’t just jump down with a parachute!

Kalogria beach in Western Peloponnese, Greece

ελληνικά

Nudist part of the beach of Kalogria (παραλίες γυμνιστών Καλόγρια) is to the right (if you look at the sea) from the main beach, through some rocks and woods. But you will get a very lovely bay with sandy beach, some rocks to climb, and clear water to swim; and don’t forget to enjoy the romantic sunset view, as it faces the sunset point.

Kaiafas (or Kayafas) is an immensely long beach with very pleasant soft sand, which makes it perfect for jogging at the waterfront,
beach sports, capoeira or whatever you can think of is good on sand.
Proximity to ancient Olympia (Ολύμπια) probably may give some additional inspiration for practicing sports in the nude and combining it with some music and dancing, as ancient Greek athletes did. There is also a lake and nice pine forest,
and enough space for camping.
